So how have your gardens been growing. Are any of you as overrun with tomatoes as I am. I planted cherry tomatoes in two heirloom varieties and they are taking over.

OH Sandra your gardens are incredible! Loved watching that video! I bet alot stop to look! Is that a pond I hear

I live on solid limestone and have trouble growing alot of things or even getting down to plant-roses do not do well here-weeds do wonderfully LOL I am debating planting my flowers as we get storms that produce hail even into mid June-I have had to replant more times than I can count-geez You should see me running around with tarps to try and cover LOL When the weather turns nice everyone runs out to plant and then a storm comes up... Living between Lakes Ontario and Erie influences our weather.

Would you believe we are still cleaning up after that October 06 ice storm-one thing nice did come out of that storm-it decimated my row of lilacs and this year they bounced back and are so full and smell the yard up!

I will go around and take some pics

LOL..isnt it crazy how expensive plants have gotten!! This year I've resorted to dividing hostas to put in my hanging baskets and stuffing a few filler trailing annuals . It's pretty effective I must say!

Heres the video I did yesterday of the garden if you didn't already see it on the blog. My roses are ready to BURST open. This is Rose Festival Week in Portland but the roses are a bit farther behind than usual

OMG you MUST show us photos of your Chow hangers!!!! What a lucky find. I would have bought all of them too!!!!!

Have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend you guys!! I hope to see lots of GARDEN photos from your outings over the holiday!!

I think the threat of frost is mostly gone with temps yesterday in the 80s. I went flower shopping the other day (geez $150 doesn't buy alot does it) and thought maybe I would go back to starting my own flowers from seeds next year. A few years ago while getting our motorhome fixed in Indiana, we went for a ride into Amish country. We stopped at this newly opened Amish hardware store and I saw these very tall shepard hooks with what I thought looked like chows on the top. Never thinking they really were chows, the owner said yes they were chows and that a chow breeder had commissioned him to make them! I bought all 6 LOL So every year I find unique flowers and planters to hang from them.

I did send a comment yesterday and it never showed up!

Sandra, I love your garden...the orange accents, the butterfly bench and lots of beautiful green! It all says "WELCOME and RELAX"

Love these photos are awesome!!! Where did you find that apple??? What fun is that? Your garden seems about 2-3 weeks behind Portland. That Parrot tulip is incredible!! I'm so glad you posted pix..Keep em coming!!

I've been in the garden ALL DAY today and can hardly move. Have glass of wine in hand...Advil in the other and am fixing shrimp on the barbeque!!! Yummy!!! I'll post pix tomorrow of the progress I made in the garden.
